It is early in the night, and you are floating high in the air. Below you, there is a tribe that is being attacked by a group of soldiers. You can't make out the symbol on their uniforms. You see the little girl that you had seen at the river with the children of Verdale. Her family and friends struck down before her eyes. Her father holding back a soldier so her and her mother could escape. Then another soldier strikes him from behind and he falls to the ground limp. Her people are taking off in all directions.

‌Your vision shifts so that you are seeing her mother running toward you into the forest. The little girl looks back one last time. At the edge of the tree line, you see the silhouettes of two people following closely after them.

Mother: "Dor, do you remember when we used to play the game of the Hawk and the Rabbit?"
Dor: crying "Yes?"
Mother: "And the Rabbit wins by Running away right? I want you to run away. Keep running and don't look back. Get to the creek and follow it upstream until you can't anymore. Keep yourself hidden as you do in case they follow your tracks. Now go dear. I will try to trick those two hawks."

Dor's mother kisses her on the forehead and guides her forward with a gentle push

‌She followed the creek until midnight and hid herself well in the trees, finally falling asleep. Everything in sight fades to black for a moment, before it comes back. The tree she was in appears before you and you can see her nestled high up in it. Below her, you see one of the soldiers starting a campfire to keep warm.

Soldier One: "That damn bitch! No....those smug 'representatives'. It's their fault!"
Soldier Two: (in a Sarcastic tone) "Why would they bother mentioning these savages could use magic. That would have been too useful for us! One of those witches almost caught me by surprise."
Soldier One: "I barely made it out alive. Nevermind, Ol' Torsel. He had a good run though."

Soldier One lets out a sign and starts a prayer before making camp and settling down for the night.

‌The soldier finally sets up an area to sleep comfortably and finally falls pray to the exhaustion of the night's activities. Dor, awakened by their conversation, stealthily climbs down the tree. She grabs a fairly large rock for her size and walks over to the sleeping soldier. Then jumps up as little as she can and slams the rock down onto the soldier's head, crushing it. And then repeating this for the second soldier. The blood coats her arms and she continues to make her way up the creek after taking any useful supplies he has. It is 2 days later that she meets with the Children of Verdale.
