As the party travels towards the ruins holding the corrupted relic, a tree comes crashing down. Ashe rushes forward and pushes Zen out of the way, getting crushed by the tree along with the reanimated skeleton controlled by Rhone. Eressil reduces the size of the tree so that Ashe can attempt to push it off of her. Invisible creatures attack the group, one of them biting into Rhone. He can feel dark magic being pushed into his body.
Zen attacks the bear that is attacking Rhone and Ajax uses a spell to help lift the tree enough for Ashe to crawl out from under it. Eressil shifts into a Rhinoceros form and attacks the assailants. While this is all happening, Rhone mind control's one of the creatures and learns its thoughts, "Must kill the others for the moon mother."
Rhone makes a comment about how many nipples were-bear's have and shoots his "Finger Lasers" at the were-bear's nipples. During the fight, Rhone and Ashe are forced to make a Con Save. Rhone fails, and contract Lycanthropy. After the fight, the party rests for a bit.
They continue forward, until Eressil sees a glowing butterfly and starts to chase after it. As she jumps to catch the butterfly, when she lands, the extra force causes the ground beneath here to lose its integrity, and come breaking apart. A huge whole develops underneath them.
Zen activates her Radiant Soul, creating glowing angelic wings and Grabs Ashe. Ajax in desperation, teleports to solid ground. Rhone shoots the Wand of Web at Eressil in order to save her, but continues to fall. Eressil tries to activate her wildshape ability in order to change Rhone into a bird, something that is impossible according to the laws of magic. At this exact moment, Zen prays to her goddess Mishakal, hoping for something that can save Rhone. By some Miracle, Rhone is Polymorphed into a Peacock and successfully flies down to safety.
Rhone still in the form of a Peacock, notices the whole is more of a empty ancient room that had a stone ceiling that finally gave way. Eressil still trapped in the web, sees that she has the glowing butterfly in her hands. The group reconvenes down at the bottom of the hole.
